Like many of the Lantern Corps, Geoff's ring allows him to create a uniform out of pure hope. His uniform his powered by his ring which is in turn powered by his hope and the hope of the people around him. His ring allows his uniform to take any shape that he can imagine. He has three standard uniforms that he wears that mimic his uniforms during his time in the service.
His first uniform is the one that he wears in his day to day activities as a Blue Lantern. It mimics the uniform he wore during his time commanding Zeus' Hammer. It consists of a pair of black combat pants and a black combat shirt. On top of the shirt is a dark blue ballistic vest with the sigil of the Blue Lantern Corp on the center. His second outfit is much like the first but without the vest. He uses this when he is on Odym or Oa.. His third and final uniform mimics his dress uniform from his time in the army. He wears this uniform for special occasions
Like any Blue Lantern, hope is the central point of Geoff's life. It was true before he donned the ring and it will be true once he takes it off for the last time. Geoff is a boisterous person and combined with his natural hope that the future will always be better, he is considered to be unnaturally upbeat. Rarely quiet and always on the move, Geoff takes his duties as a Blue Lantern very seriously. In his mind, duty to his teammates and the brothers who also wear the blue power ring are to be considered most important.
Geoff is a man driven by duty. He will do whatever it takes to finish his mission. This mindset is a byproduct from his time in the army. When posed with a situation, he analyzes like a soldier would. He plans out and decides if there will be any "acceptable causalities". This mindset has caused some ire within the Blue Lantern Corps but as long as he continues to inspire hope, he will continue to wear the ring

The abilities he as are the following...
Flight: By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows Geoff to fly at incredible speeds and in all manner of environments
Blue Energy Conduit: The rings use Blue energy supplied by a Power Battery, which in most cases takes the form of blue light. The Blue energy of hope has an infallible connection to the universe. Hope is the most powerful of light, and thus the universe speaks through it. A Blue Power ring is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe, and has the ability to affect and use fundamental forces of the universe, including electromagnetic energies such as gravity, radiation, heat, light, and powerful blasts of concussive force.
Force-Field: The ring can create various force-fields of various sizes and shapes to protect Geoff and others around him. With the cosmic scope of a Blue Lantern's abilities, the power ring is designed for operation in space. The ring creates a force-field around the wearer, protecting Geoff from the hazards of the void including filtration of stellar radiation and microscopic particulate matter which would ordinarily be fatal should the space debris strike the ring wielder at high speeds. An atmosphere appropriate to Geoff's biology is created inside the force-field, body temperature is maintained and waste products are removed. Gravitational stresses which could cause injury are stabilized for the ring wielder.
Energy Constructs: The ring can form constructs of blue energy. Unlike a Green Lantern Power Ring, the primary function of the Blue Power Ring will manifest its constructs in response to the target's specific psychosis, with a soothing effect based on that target's hopes. In this way, the ring can remove the corruptible influence of the red flame of rage by infusing hope. Otherwise, the ring is a weapon capable of transforming the wearer's thoughts into physical constructs through the wearer's mastery of hope.Geoff can create any particular item or construct that he can imagine as long as he has the mastery of hope necessary to conjure it into existence. The constructs are made out of blue energy, which is a tangible form of pure hope, and they exist only as long as Geoff is fueling it with their hopefulness. The types of constructs usually reflects the ring wearer's personality.
Hope Empowerment: The Blue Lantern ring is unique in that its base of power, Hope, can be drawn from for strength by the ring user. Being in direct range of the emotional aura of a Blue Lantern allows them to charge an outer power reserve; by the sheer hope of the Lantern, its power will remain constant. The empowerment extends to even the stellar reactions of stars, allowing one to reverse the age of a dying star to that of a relatively newborn star. Solely empowered by the hope of the population that relied on it, in turn empowering the Blue Lantern who then collects and uses it for the purpose of transformation. The ability bypasses the need for ring energy expenditure
Fear Depletion: As fear is the belief of imminent demise, hope is the belief of imminent success. As such, Blue Lantern Rings are capable of depleting the energy of Qwardian Power Rings
Avarice Immunity: A blue ring is not vulnerable to the Orange Lantern Corps' favored tactic of draining energy from other Corps' rings. The reason of this is that while Avarice erodes Will, it can't consume Hope, thus rendering Avarice useless against Hope.
Rage Removal: If a subject has been infected with the red light of rage, a Blue Power Ring can create a vision of the subject's greatest hope to calm and heal them. The Blue energy serving as an antitoxin to purge red plasma from the body. With a spiritual connection active, the subject's mind is alleviated and blood production is restarted. The end result is the subject being safely released from his or her ring.
Wormholes & Spacial Warps: The power ring grants its wearer access to wormholes in space, enabling the ring wielder to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport.
Energy Interference: As the continuing power of the ring's connection of "universal hope", it has a tendency to cause a form of interference to other power sources.
Willpower Symbiosis: Hope is the most powerful emotion in the emotional spectrum, but it cannot reach its full potential without willpower to enact it. In order for the blue power ring to function, it needs the aura of green willpower, supplied by a Green Lantern Ring to be in proximity to it; otherwise, the ring will only allow limited flight, limited energy projection and constructs, and protection from the vacuum of space.
Father: Stephen Mahnke
Significant Other: Ghia'ta
Other Relatives: Nora Haywood (adoptive mother)
Companions: Titan members
Geoff was born the only child to Stephen and Jacqueline Mahnke. His mother died during birth leaving his father to raise him. This was a fact that Geoff's father, Stephen, never forgave him for. The death of his wife and hatred for his son drove Stephen into a deep depression where only alcohol and various types of drugs could ever sate the pain. From the time of his birth, the man showed Geoff nothing but hostility. Were it not for the love and affection of his neighbor Nora, Geoff might have found himself wearing the red power ring rather than the blue. It wouldn't be until the age of twelve where Geoff's father Stephen found himself on the wrong side of the law and Geoff in the care of Nora
Life living with Nora was everything that the young boy could ever hope it to be. Nora was kind yet stern. She never raised her voice when it wasn't needed nor did she ever raise her hand against the young boy. It was with Nora that Geoff truly found his calling. Instead of instilling a fear and anger of life, Nora made it her life's duty to instill hope and the belief of a better tomorrow in the young boy. Within the year, Geoff's grades skyrocketed, his mood drastically improved and his want to help every single person emerged. The years would come and go with Nora remaining a focal point of Geoff's life. The now young man took his teenage years in stride and with the help of his adoptive mother conquered high school at the top of his class.
With Nora also came her daughter Eliza. Like her mother, Eliza made it her mission to show Geoff the love that he was denied from the time of his birth. Although Nora was the one who devoted her life to her new found son, it was Eliza who truly saved the young man. It was Eliza who showed Geoff that love was possible where there was only hate. It was Eliza who caused Geoff to believe in the sincerity of Nora's actions. It was Eliza who caused Geoff to become the man he is today. When Geoff came to live with the Haywoods, the two became friends. They become inseparable and on a cold winter night during their sixteenth year of life, they became lovers.
It wouldn't be until his nineteenth year of life where Geoff would truly find himself tested. The day started off like any other. The young man had breakfast with his adoptive mother, played a few games of basketball with his friends and when afternoon stated to set in, he left for Downtown Coast City to have lunch with the love of his life. It was here that things went from near idyllic to near catastrophe. Geoff was waiting patiently at the restaurant when he received the news. Nora and Eliza had been in a car crash with only Nora coming out unscathed. Devastated, Geoff did the only thing he knew how, he ran. The young man fled Coast City to the only place he knew of, the army. His life in the army was a direct contrast to his civilian life. Unlike his civilian life which was a constant roller coaster of emotion, Geoff's time in the army was stable. The drill sergeants didn't pretend to be anything less than what they were. They provided discipline. They provided order and by the end of the ten week boot camp, turned the young man into something more.
At the time of his graduation, it had been a long ten weeks of no contact with his adoptive mother. When the young man graduated boot camp and was inducted into the United States Army, he once again did the only thing he knew what to do. Geoff tearfully called his adoptive mother and begged her for forgiveness. This earned him both a stern talking to, a shower of kisses and a letter from his one time love, an artifact that he keeps unopened to this day.
After his graduation and on the eve of his twentieth birthday, Geoff was deployed to the ever developing conflict in the Middle East. It was here that Geoff truly earned his mettle. The young man started as a loader on an M1 Abrams tank dubbed Zeus' Hammer and only moved up from there. By his twenty-first birthday, Geoff was the main gunner on Thor's Hammer and by his twenty-second birthday, Geoff was in command of Thor's Hammer with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Geoff would go on to earn a Silver Star during the Battle of Karbala against the armed forces of Bialya. For his efforts in the battle, Geoff earned a total of five tank kills, three bunkers destroyed and a total of fifteen men saved. In addition to his heroics, the young man earned a bullet to the chest and the attention of the Blue Lantern Corps.
Unlike the other lights of the emotional electromagnetic spectrum, Blue Lanterns were not chosen by their rings but rather the leaders of the Corp. Blue Lanterns were not selected on their willpower or their ability to spread fear. They were not chosen for their rage nor their desire to further their own goals. Blue Lanterns were chosen by their ability to spread hope to others. They were chosen by their ability to always see the bright side of thing and from the second his adoption was approved, Geoff was considered to be this and more. All throughout the Battle of Karbala, Geoff and the crew of Zeus' Hammer became a rallying cry for the battle. The leaders of the Blue Lantern Corps Ganthet and Sayd brought the young man from a hospital in Berlin Germany to Odym to undergo the rigorous interview that is required of all Blue Lanterns. Once on Odym, Geoff discussed with Ganthet and Sayd what it meant to wield the power of hope as well as what the emotional electromagnetic spectrum was. Throughout the interview, he learned that it is a responsibility to give one's self to the universe, and also their ultimate destiny. After three days, Geoff eagerly accepted the conditions that Ganthet and Sayd laid out and emerged as Brother Mahnke, the newest Blue Lantern.
Upon becoming a Blue Lantern, Geoff soon met a Star Sapphire by the name of Ghia'ta. They two of them, despite their brief time of knowing each other, personified the phrase "love at first sight". They proceeded to spend as much time together with their love only deepening as they truly started to learn about one another
"What do you mean I'm not expected!" the man bellowed, his Spanish accent thick "Don't you know who I am?! I am Rafa Maximiano Ureña! The world's greatest reporter!"
"I...don't know who you are sir" Geoff replied, slightly exasperated
The aspiring reporter threw his hands into the air and turned away in disgust. He looked over his shoulder and sneered at the young man who had the unfortunate luck to guard the huge door to the Hall of Justice. Geoff gave a chuckle before returning his attention back towards the plaza and any potential customers, or potential visitors or literally anyone else other than the wannabe reporter. Rafa gave one last look before turning away in disgust. He threw his hands in the air once more and utter a foul curse as he stomped down the road. This was the third time they had turned him away. Three times in as many weeks. Rafa shook his head in anger as he stomped down the road. He paused only to unlatch his helmet from his waist and placed it on his head. He gave another look over his shoulder before forcing his gaze to the ground. His mentor, his uncle, had promised that he would be well received. He promised that the Justice League would take him with open arms. Rafa scoffed at the thought. His mentor had lied. This was all some sick initiation just to give his bosses a chuckle
"Bastardo..." Rafa cursed as he continued down the road "He will rue the day he crossed me"
"Excuse me sir?" Geoff queried, a smirk all to visible on his face
It was said that the Justice League were some of the greatest warriors on the face of the world. It was said that they could take on any opponent and come out on top. All throughout his childhood, he was told stories about the valor of the League. He was told of the legendary Superman and his fight against any who would commit acts of evil. His father told him that Superman had beaten back so many foes that many saw him as invincible. His father was a world class reporter and unless he could interview a member of the League, he would never be considered the same. He had to get an interview with a member. It wasn't just for the money. Rafa knew he was the world's greatest reporter and unless he interviewed a member of the League, the world would never realize that fact. Rafa gave a heavy sigh before taking off his motorcycle helmet once more. He turned towards the guard and couldn't help but give a gasp of surprise in what the young man was now wearing
"You're a Green Lantern?!" Rafa exclaimed excitedly
"Uhhh sir" Geoff began
"But why us your uniform blue? Everyone knows that Green Lanterns are green. Not blue"
"It must be a costume. Halloween was a few days ago" Rafa beamed, his smile growing wider by the minute
"Sir..." Geoff sighed
"May I interview you?" Rafa asked, drawing out his recorder "Everyone knows that all Lanterns are part of the Justice League"
"Hush hush now" Rafa said, silencing the young man "Now tell me, what is your name and how long have you been a Green Lantern?"
