A guide to the membergroups and factions of All Our Masks. We do plan on expanding upon this list in the future as we need! If you feel we have missed anything please PM an admin.
The Justice League is an organization comprised of the world's most powerful or skilled super-heroes dedicated to fighting crime and injustice. They work together as a team and a strike-force, acting as Earth's first line of defense against both terrestrial and extra-terrestrial threats. Their numbers have greatly expanded since its founding in February 2003, but the original founding members include: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter. The official formation of the league occurred after the heroes came together to battle the alien invaders, and eventually drove them off the planet. The invaders were forced to leave their husks behind.
Minimum joining age is 18.
The Team is an organization of young vigilantes banded together to fight crime. Beginning as a group of side-kicks looking to distinguish themselves from their mentors, they work along with the League behind the scenes..
The Team is a team of young super-heroes who were the former sidekicks of older, and more experienced heroes. They first came together in 2010 when Robin, Aqualad and Kid Flash went on an unsanctioned mission to project Cadmus where they released and recruited Superboy. When they were given Mount Justice as their headquarters they were joined by Miss Martian, making these five the founding members of The Team. The Team is currently led by Aqualad. Or if we get another qualified character within that time . The team members that have been killed in the line of duty thus far is Jason Todd, Troia, and Aquagirl.
The Team is now something of a sub-group within the Justice League themselves and work out of the Watchtower. Their missions still consist of much of the behind the scenes stealth work that the League cannot be seen doing.
Minimum joining age is 13.
The Titans are a splinter group of the Team. When the Team was invited to join the Justice League in the Watchtower, some of the members respectfully declined and branched off to form a new group, The Titans. This group is primarily lead by Nightwing They are beginning to make a name from themselves, coming out of the shadows if you will, in order to combat various villains publicly rather than keeping themselves hidden.
Minimum joining age is 13.
The independent heroes of the world are heroes who have chosen to be independent. Whether it is by personal choice or extenuating circumstances, they have chosen not to ally themselves with either the Justice League nor the young Team. The independent heroes of the world travel from city to city with benevolent intent or stick to their home town in order to make a difference. They are beacons of hope in a changing world. Some put on the mask to earn a living while others do it for the thrill. No matter their choice, they are to be looked up to in times of crisis.
An Anti-hero is one who lacks the conventional heroic attributes, often walking the line between good and bad.. They can work on the side of good but with a flaw, past, selfish/not entirely pure reasons. Or they can work on the side of evil but with hidden noble intentions or underlying complexities. Generally they get things done for the greater good but are not concerned with doing it the most ethical or virtuous way possible. Typically, they are not as admired as or widely accepted by the typical hero.
The Injustice League is a supervillain team, an evil counterpart to the Justice League. The team included: Atomic Skull, Black Adam, Count Vertigo (field commander), Joker, Poison Ivy, Ultra-Humanite, and Wotan. Upon their defeat, most members were taken to Belle Reve Penitentiary, with the exceptions of Count Vertigo, who had diplomatic immunity, and the Joker, who was sent to Arkham Asylum.
The Light is a council comprised of seven self-proclaimed enlightened members, the notable members being: Vandal Savage, Ra's al Ghul, Lex Luthor, Queen Bee, Brain, Klarion, and Black Manta.
Founded by the Light and managed by their most trusted cohorts, H.I.V.E. (or Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination) is a team of young villains, the junior league of evil you might say. The Light formed them after their fall (at the end of season 2) and uses them to commit notable and various crimes but they are meant to specifically combat teams of young heroes such as the Team or the Titans. Most H.I.V.E. agents are recruited delinquents and runaways with special abilities and skills. All are implanted with a code word during their initial 'psyche test' and at this time nobody has come to realize this yet. Their HQ is located in Washington DC.
Minimum joining age is 13. (Still looking for a team leader)
The independent villains of the world are villains who have chosen to be independent. Whether it is by personal choice or extenuating circumstances, they have chosen not to ally themselves with the more seedier groups of the planet. The independent villains of the world travel from city to city with plans more sinister or stick to their hometown to wreak havoc. They are symbols of darkness in the changing world. Some put on the mask to earn a living while others do it for the thrill. No matter their choice, they are to be feared even more so in times of crisis
Those that, for their own reasons, choose not to side specifically with good or with evil fall in this category but may take action either way depending on their views of the situation.
Pretty self-explanatory. This has been left separate from neutral for even though they may be capable of a heroic deed now and again they generally do not jump into the line of danger for just anybody.
